What you'll do:
As an Accounts Assistant, your role will be integral to the smooth operation of our finance department. You will be responsible for raising and coding sales invoices, obtaining purchase orders, and performing data entry tasks. Your excellent attention to detail will be crucial in chasing overdue debtors and reporting on aged debtors. You will also handle queries, reconcile self-billing customers, set up new suppliers, and approve supplier invoices. Your role will extend beyond finance as you manage office stationery ordering, issue site equipment, manage uniform stock, and deal with expense forms.
* Supporting the day-to-day running of the finance department
* Raising sales invoices/coding sales invoices
* Obtaining purchase orders
* Data entry
* Chasing overdue debtors
* Aged debtor reporting
* Dealing with queries
* Self-billing customer reconciliation
* Setting up new suppliers
* Approving supplier invoices
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant position is someone who brings a minimum Level 3 AAT qualification and at least two years' experience in a similar finance role. Your strong Excel skills will enable you to handle data efficiently and accurately. Experience with Sage 50 is essential for this role. Beyond these technical skills, we are looking for someone who is dependable, committed to their work, and able to work well within a team.
