Job Purpose
- Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
- Preparation of statutory accounts for Limited companies and Sole Traders
- Preparation of accounts from core records, using FRS 105 and/or FRS 102
- Review of accounts prepared by junior team members
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Filing accounts and ensuring accurate accounts are produced and submitted to Companies House on time
- Liaise with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries.
- Lead fieldwork at clients’ premises when required
- Support junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development.
- Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency.
- Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations.
- Champion your own professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities.

Job Requirements - AAT or ACCA/ACA qualified with a minimum of five years’ experience in UK practice
- A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
- Strong working knowledge of software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Good IT skills
- A team player who can also work autonomously
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
