This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with drive and enthusiasm to enter into a new role that has arisen within the Birmingham office of this growing firm of Accountants. They are looking for an experienced audit manager/director who has the entrepreneurialism to bring in house their current audit function and continue to develop the offering from there.

This role will suit someone who sees themselves as a Partner in the not-too-distant future, who backs themselves to build up a network of intermediaries and contacts and be able to develop a pipeline of new work. You may already be a Responsible Individual (RI) with signing rights or be able to work with the firm to get this in place as soon as possible. The successful individual will be rewarded with a generous profit share of all existing income and new fees generated in this new division.

You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of audits for SME and Corporate clients. In order to do this, you will need to be highly commercial to understand the needs of the clients’, advise them strategically on complex issues, spot areas of risk in their businesses and then further identify services that they may require from the wider firm. Over time you will be responsible for developing a team around you to assist the continued growth of this division.

We are therefore seeking someone with energy, strong influencing skills and who takes pride in their work. You will be a qualified accountant, either ACA or ACCA. We expect the successful candidate to be a hands-on self-starter with proven managerial skills and experience and the ability to build strong relationships.
