Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Scunthorpe, DN15

Job Type: 4 or 5 days per week

Salary: £84 - £90 a day

Start Date: January 2024

Reed Education is seeking a fantastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Scunthorpe. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within a class of EYFS children. You will work alongside an experienced teacher.

There are some children in the class who have an EHCP and therefore you may have some one-to-one responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in the class, and that are in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
• Assisting in assessing and monitoring pupils' progress and using this information to inform future planning and differentiation.

• Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement, curiosity and independence.
• Collaborating with other staff members to plan, implement and evaluate the curriculum and the school's policies and procedures.
• Communicating effectively with parents and carers and building positive relationships with them to support pupil learning and wellbeing.
• Fulfilling other professional duties, such as attending meetings and training, and contributing to the wider life of the school community.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally in an EYFS setting
• Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in childcare or similar
