The role will involve assisting in the preparation of financial statements, management and statutory accounts, and tax returns for a diverse client portfolio. You’ll also work closely with senior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Job Purpose

• Assisting with bookkeeping duties.
• Preparation of statutory and management accounts.
• Tax computations.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Liaising with HMRC.
• Handling correspondence and escalating queries to the relevant department.
• Confidently liaise with clients, handling general queries with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Supporting the junior team; reviewing work and offering mentoring when required.
• Working closely with senior team members, handling duties as required.

• Studying towards ACA or ACCA.
• Previous experience of bookkeeping duties and management accounts preparation.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbally.
