You'll have enjoyed a progressive career with an even mix of audit and accounts experience and you'll enjoy working on both. You'll be technically astute and able to manage your workload effectively as well as overseeing your portfolio's workflow and nurturing and mentoring a settled and productive team. This role offers a great balance so you'll be comfortable maintaining your skills and legislative knowledge in multiple sectors and enjoy the variety of working on a range of accounting services.

Job Purpose

• Work closely with senior auditors to support engagements from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Preparation and review of statutory accounts, as well as reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff.
• Preparation and review of tax computations.
• Management accounting.
• Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
• Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
• Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
• Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities.
• Support junior team members by knowledge sharing and supporting their progression.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA, ACCA? qualified or a finalist or QBE with previous experience within practice.
• Experience supporting audits from planning to completion.
• Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Adept at tax computations.
• Experienced in management accounting.
• Experienced in audit.
• A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously.
• Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable.
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
• Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
• Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen.
• A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver.
