Change Communications Consultant

£600-£650 per day (Umbrella) | 4-Month Contract | Full-Time | Hybrid Working

The Greater London Authority is seeking an experienced Change Communications Consultant to play a pivotal role in a high-profile transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the people, engagement and communications aspects of major organisational change, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged, prepared and supported throughout the change journey.

Working as the programme's Change Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and embedding a structured change management approach across significant transformation initiatives, including the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA. You will develop and deliver strategic change, engagement and internal communications activity that drives adoption, minimises resistance and enables the successful realisation of programme benefits.

This is a 4-month contract offering a competitive rate of £600-£650 per day via Umbrella, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring attendance at City Hall approximately 2-3 days per week. The office is conveniently located close to Canning Town and Royal Victoria stations.

The Role

As the Change Communications Consultant, you will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive change programme, working closely with senior leaders, programme teams and stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development and delivery of strategic change, engagement and internal communications plans to support major transformation programmes.
• Acting as the programme's Change Lead, ensuring a consistent and structured approach to change management.
• Developing and implementing change strategies that support the successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working.
• Supporting the delivery of key technology transformation initiatives, including SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA.
• Conducting stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments and change readiness activities.
• Designing and delivering engaging communication campaigns for a range of audiences.
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to influence and drive successful change outcomes.
• Establishing and managing change champion networks and engagement forums.
• Identifying and mitigating change-related risks and barriers to adoption.
• Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of communications and change interventions, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
