Location: London WC1 (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Estates Manager to oversee the maintenance, refurbishment and operational management of a large student accommodation estate housing over 800 international students in central London. 

Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will lead a team of Fabric Technicians, Painters and Porters, ensuring the effective delivery of planned and reactive building maintenance, annual refurbishment programmes, contractor management and compliance activities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across the estate. 
  • Deliver annual refurbishment programmes for student accommodation and communal facilities. 
  • Lead and develop an in-house maintenance team and specialist contractors. 
  • Oversee minor works projects, procurement, tendering and budget management
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and building regulations
  • Manage service providers including lifts, grounds maintenance and pest control. 
  • Utilise CAFM systems to monitor assets, maintenance performance and reporting. 

About You

  • Proven experience in estates, facilities or property maintenance management. 
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, repairs and minor works/project delivery. 
  • Experience managing contractors and in-house teams. 
  • Good understanding of health & safety and building compliance requirements. 
  • Experience with budgets, procurement and CAFM systems. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
