An established factual & documentary TV Production company is looking for a Production Accountant to join their team. Working across a slate of varying sized/budget productions this is an interesting and varied role that requires an individual with proven TV Production Accounting experience and the ability to work independently. The role will be supported by a Finance Assistant and is ideally full time, although 4 days a week might be considered.

This is a lovely business and the programmes made are both interesting and thought provoking. The role offers hybrid working and will require you to be work in the Zone 1 based offices 2-3 days a week.

To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you have previous TV Production accounting experience, having specifically worked on non-scripted shows. Candidates who have worked at an Assistant Production Accountant and are looking for that next step up will also be considered.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage the production finances and budget reporting across a slate of non-scripted productions
  • Review & reconcile monthly production cost reports, joining production management meetings to discuss
  • Assist Production Execs/PMs with budgeting and cash flow forecasting, including FX management
  • Manage and reconcile the production petty cash, including foreign currency
  • Prepare production payroll information, including reviewing freelancer payment information
  • Manage & reconcile the expenses, credit card and prepaid cards across all productions
  • Manage the month end across productions to include cost management/reporting, PAYE, expenses/credit cards
  • Set up, reconcile and closure of production bank accounts

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous production accounting/production finance experience gained within TV/Film is essential (ideally non-scripted)
  • Strong accounting/bookkeeping skills
  • Strong communication skills, written & verbal
  • Organised, able to prioritise, and deadline orientated
  • Self motivated, logical, proactive and take responsibility and works with initiative
  • Good understanding of Tax Credits, guild and other relevant regulations
  • Great attention to detail
  • Confident nature with the ability to intelligently challenge others when required
