Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE plus Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Range Selection: Assist the Buyer in data-driven range planning, aligning product choices with seasonal trends and customer demands.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, support negotiations, and ensure smooth operations.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform buying decisions, keeping us ahead of competitors.
• Sales & Performance Reporting: Track sales performance, provide actionable insights, and drive category profitability.
• Marketing Coordination: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure accurate and timely promotion of key products.
• Stock Management: Oversee stock levels, manage turnover, and minimise waste through strategic planning.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Experience as an Assistant Buyer or in a similar role with ecommerce / retail experience. Familiarity with product categories such as Appliances or Electricals is a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, excellent organisational skills, and effective communication with internal teams and suppliers.
• Behaviours: A highly organised individual who pays attention to detail, is open-minded, eager to learn, and ambitious. A commercial mindset is essential, with a focus on cost, profit, and understanding market trends.
