Accounts Assistant - Market Harborough (Office Based)

I am currently working with a leading family-owned business, based in Market Harborough, who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a fast-paced finance team and has a strong all-round knowledge of transactional accounts.

Duties

• Overseeing the purchase ledger function - ensuring all is coded correctly to be processed by the outsourced team.
• Processing all payments runs.
• Checking timesheets and all payroll information before submission.
• Supporting with accruals and prepayments.
• Working closely with the Financial Controller - preparing accounts up to P&L.
• Using XERO and Excel on a daily basis, as well as other bespoke accounting systems.

The right candidate will be confident in working within a fast-paced accounting environment and will have excellent attention to detail.

An AAT qualification is desirable, however candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered.
