We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to lead the financial planning function for a growing business based in Blackpool. This is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibility for driving financial strategy, improving performance management processes, and delivering actionable insights to support business growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to make a real impact in shaping financial outcomes and influencing key decision-making at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Analyse financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver detailed management reports, including variance analysis and KPIs
  • Partner with business units to drive accountability and optimise financial outcomes
  • Evaluate potential investments, cost-saving initiatives, and M&A opportunities
  • Drive improvements in FP&A tools, processes, and financial systems
  • Promote collaboration and continuous improvement across finance and other business functions

About You:

We are looking for a driven and collaborative finance professional with the following experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis or corporate finance, with a track record of success in a leadership role
  • Proven experience working in both SME and larger corporate environments
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • A hands-on, problem-solving approach, with a focus on driving results and innovation

Qualifications:

  • CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW qualified (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • CFA, CPA, or similar professional designation is an advantage
