Financial Accountant

Ignata Finance are working with a leading business located in Burgess Hill for the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. This role would suit individuals seeking to make their first move from practice into industry. This is a technical role which will expose you to group accounting/consolidations, mergers and acquisitions and complex financial reporting. This is a newly created position which has been formed to improve efficiency, accuracy and the reliability of information across the group. 
  
This role sits within the senior management team and you will be responsible for promoting and building relationships with key stakeholders as well as driving and influencing change. This is a progressive opportunity which will pave the way to future roles which will advance your accounting and commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Manager to improve financial performance within this part of the business.
• Produce accurate monthly performance reports, understanding and communicate the important messages, and provide relevant analysis.
• Work with the existing operational accountants within the Crawley team to provide support for adhoc reporting and operational queries from the business.
• Prepare the operation performance report & Weekly Flash reporting
• Process accounting transactions
• Run and maintain the Revenue Recognition reports and investigate any areas of concern.
• Collection and analysis of financial information as needed by operational managers
• Provide analysis of costing information on an ad-hoc basis
• Help produce detailed Budgets and Forecasts.
• Together with line manager refine the SAP modules to improve reporting functionality
• To participate in ad hoc projects as required
