Lead Occupational Therapist - Secondary SEN School - Lambeth

Permanent, full-time, term-time position, ASAP Start

Pay Scale; approx. £43,742 to £50,056 (depending on experience)

Our special Secondary School, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and provide comprehensive assessments and evidence-based therapy to young people with a range of special, additional needs.

Occupational Therapist - The Role:

Working as an Occupational Therapist within the school - Band 6 / 7

EHCP focused Occupational Therapy sessions - Pupils aged 11 - 19 years old

Plan and regularly review treatment programmes

Attend and actively contribute to Case review meetings

Collaborative working with Teachers and staff across the school

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the lead clinical psychologist, speech and language therapists, social workers and other SEN Specialist

Occupational Therapist - The Occupational Therapist:

MUST hold relevant sector recognised full qualification and be HCPC registered

Band 6 / 7 Occupational Therapist

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy

Previous work experience in a School setting is highly desirable

Sensory Integration Training is highly desirable

Understanding of young people with Autism and Speech, Language and Communication difficulties.

A flexible and creative approach to treatment and therapies

A caring and committed team player

Experience of working with similar caseloads with varying degrees of complexity

Occupational Therapist - The School:

Secondary SEN school pupils aged 11 - 19 years of age

Whole school therapeutic approach

On-site therapists

Friendly, welcoming, dedicated, and hardworking team throughout the school

Professional development and progression is encouraged and supported

Located in Lambeth

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
