We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Case Officer to join our Urgent Support Team. In this vital role, you will ensure that beneficiaries receive timely and appropriate welfare support and advice, tailored to their immediate needs and circumstances. Your work will focus on delivering person-centred solutions, collaborating with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and volunteers to meet each individual's unique requirements.
You will also provide guidance and direction to the team during the absence of, or outside the working hours of, the Casework Services Manager between Monday to Sunday, from 8am to 8pm.
Your key responsibilities will include providing direct support, advice, and guidance to beneficiaries, taking the lead on individual cases in a person-centred way. You’ll also offer guidance to the team on processes and actions required to effectively support beneficiaries. In the absence of the Casework Services Manager, you’ll ensure cases are allocated appropriately and make referrals to necessary services. You will manage safeguarding concerns and incidents in collaboration with the RBL Safeguarding Team, escalating issues as needed. Additionally, you will assess beneficiaries' time-sensitive needs, coordinating support from specialist teams and other providers, and develop creative solutions in response to those needs, drawing on the support of volunteers and Legion members when appropriate.
