Description
To assist Lead File Handlers in handling mesothelioma and asbestos related claims. To manage and progress claims for the Lead File Handler in accordance with the strategies and action plan as determined by the Lead File Handler.
Key Responsibilities - Reviewing documents and preparing reports
- Dealing with disclosure
- Reviewing evidence (including medical / personnel records/ Companies House records)
- Conducting investigations with Insured / obtaining witness statements
- Instructing Counsel / Experts
- Research
- Drafting generally
- Attending conferences and Trials with Counsel
- Dealing with routine correspondence
- Court appointments including own advocacy
- Providing initial reports and further reports / advice to clients, when requeste
- Liaising directly with the Claims Handlers and Managers
- Complying with Clients instructions
- Willing to engage in Client development when required
- Assisting team in achieving goals and objectives
- Meeting agreed targets
- To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations

Working Hours
35 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is our Parklands Office, Bolton
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - Technically proficient in handling and/or assisting on disease litigated cases, including; Meso, Asbestos and NIHL
