Are you an experienced Sea Freight professional with a proven track record in export, import, and cross-trade operations? We're recruiting for a Sea Freight Coordinator to join a fast-paced and dynamic logistics team in Maidenhead.
This role focuses on managing global shipments in an event-related or time-critical environment, ensuring smooth operations and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities for a Sea Freight Coordinator: - Coordinate FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments globally.
- Arrange collections and deliveries with approved contractors worldwide.
- Liaise with shipping lines and approved agents to handle export, import, and cross-trade bookings.
- Accurately complete export and import customs entries to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update shipment data within the Boxtop operating system.
- Monitor shipments from departure to arrival, proactively addressing any issues.
- Send detailed pre-alerts to overseas agents for seamless communication and coordination.
- Handle invoicing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
The Idea Sea Freight Coordinator: - Experience: Proven expertise in sea freight operations, including export, import, and cross-trade, with a background in event-related or time-critical logistics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and experience with the Boxtop operating system is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and agents.
