Claims Handler

Clams Handler – South London- to £30000
Our client is an established international insurance company.  They are looking to recruit a claims handler to join the team handling a variety of claims including employment, property, contractual disputes and fitness to practice investigations.

Role Overview
You will join an existing team which focusses on responding to claims against BTE insurance policy holders insured by the company.  You will handle claims from start to conclusion which involves:

• Investigating liability
• Assessing indemnity and coverage position throughout the claim
• Managing cost of the claim
• Liaising with solicitors, barristers, accountants, insurance brokers and policy holders.

Candidate Profile
Our client is looking for candidates with the following:

• 12 months prior experience in a similar claims handling role.
• Alternatively a paralegal or legal litigation background.  You will be required to evaluate legal documents and be able to put reasoned arguments to legal professionals.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous Legal Expenses Insurance experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of the legal sector.
