Head of Marketing
Our client, a consumer services organisation, are one of the leaders within their field who offer an exceptional service to the consumer, enabling them to source aspirational products. They are currently recruiting for a Head of Marketing, leading a small team, to be responsible for the development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy to take their brand profile to a new level and drive customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all marketing for the company and all activity within the marketing team internal and external.
- Liaise with sales management to create a true Sales & Marketing function.
- Manage and co-ordinate the marketing team to ensure both individual and team targets are met.
- Develop the business’ multi-channel communication strategy ensuring that all internal and external communications consistently reflect the brand.
- Develop the Partnership channel to deliver profitable relationships.
- To plan and implement the development of a wide range of promotional materials and campaigns, website content, advertisements and other marketing-related projects internal and external.
- Website development and online presence – new site content, conversion optimisation, Google Adwords & Analytics, SEO, produce video production, online reviews.
- Social media marketing – create and write copy/content; develop a distinct online presence to attract a high number of future customers through channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc
- Managing the customer database, including targeting and segmentation activities, mailing production and customer surveys, then feeding back data to sales management.
- Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications, leads, ROI, key metrics through internal MI and spend.
- Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
- Organise, oversee and represent the company at promotional events.
Key requirements - Experience of working in a fast-paced business at this level or equivalent
- Excellent standard of verbal and written communication
- Ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects.
- Ability to deal with/influence key influencers and decision makers.
- Strong knowledge of database marketing techniques
- Ideally experience of working in a regulated environment.
The Head of Marketing position will be part of the Senior Management team and will play a pivotal role in steering the business strategy and positioning them for the next stage of growth. They need someone who is confidently in developing strategy and ideas, but must also be equally happy to be hands on delivering the marketing activity with the support of a small team. Whilst there can be some flexibility, this is an office based position.
