Key Responsibilities Below:
- Collaborate with the team to develop solutions for complex energy problems using data-driven approaches.
- Prepare, cleanse, and engineer relevant datasets, ensuring they are well-organised and accurate within the company's cloud systems.
- Assist in building, testing, and validating statistical and machine learning models to forecast trends and key metrics.
- Contribute to designing and implementing scalable forecasting pipelines for both real-time and batch predictions.
- Support time series analysis and optimisation projects to build models for financial and energy data.
- Create data visualisations to present insights and findings to the team effectively.
- Help maintain and improve models, focusing on accuracy, scalability, and performance.
- Work closely with senior team members to develop technical skills and knowledge, benefiting from mentorship and guidance.
Key Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM subject (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field).
- A solid foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
- Some experience or academic exposure to time series analysis, including decomposition, seasonality, and trend modelling.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python (essential) and SQL (desirable).
- Basic knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau).
- An eagerness to learn and develop technical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
This role is offering a salary of up to £34,000 per annum and is a full time position within Manchester City Centre offices.
