Are you a Qualified Financial Controller comfortable in a hands-on and varied, all-encompassing finance role? Aila is exclusively partnered with a scale-up Tech SaaS business that is looking to hire an ambitious and confident Financial Controller to join its leadership team.

The Role:
The role is primarily remote, but they would like this Financial Controller to be within commuting distance of London. We are seeking a Financial Controller who will support their Fractional CFO with the Finance Strategy in a dynamic startup environment. This is an exciting and variable role that will include Financial Planning, Controls & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with coordination and consolidation of the annual budgets and forecasts accurately with excellent attention to detail
• Proactively review and enhance the financial reporting requirements and processes to drive efficiencies.
• Assist the CFO on month end reporting recognising drivers of sales, margins and profit
• Where needed, supporting multiple departments with reporting and data collection
• Analysis and reporting of the P&L and Balance Sheet
• Coordinating balance sheet reviews and investigating any risks and opportunities
• Support year-end audit
• Supporting the CFO with commercial analysis to help shape decision making
• Working closely with the Senior Management to implement a risk management policy and strategy

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with at least 5 years experience in Finance
• Previous experience in a month-end finance role, ideally within an SME taking control of everything
• Prior audit and reporting experience, with comfort in leading on month & year-end
• Extensive experience in currency & cash flow management
• Previous year-end statutory accounting experience with a strong technical background
