Finance Business Partner (part-time hours, 21 hours per week) | Charitable Foundation | Central London (hybrid working) | £55,000-£60,000 FTE plus bonus and benefits | Permanent role

A part time (flexible structure - 21 hours a week) Finance Business Partner is required to work for a fast-growth, exciting charitable foundation based in Central London (hybrid working). You will be joining at a key time; this newly created role will be supporting the business as they enter into the next phase of growth.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a commercial position with your time being split between business partnering, value add analysis and month end. This is a opportunity for an individual to come in, set up and shape the commercial finance function in this new division.

Responsibilities will include.

  • Business partnering with various non-finance and senior stakeholders across the business, leading the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting process
  • Support grant payment processes, and grant budget projections
  • Support the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and ways of working
  • Management of cashflow for the foundation
  • Supporting the Head of Finance and the wider finance team with the audit and year-end accounting
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts for the foundation
  • Collaborate with the funding team, providing business partnering support, expertise, financial insights and analysis to inform decision making at entity and Board level
  • Owning a range of key business areas providing commercial insights on the full P&L for your division

Skill set required:

To be considered for this role, you must be a Qualified Accountant or Qualified by experience with experience working for a not-for-profit business previously where you have dealt with grants. You will have proven experience working in a commercially focused role where you have business partnered and challenged non-finance stakeholders. You must have strong financial controls experience including management accounts, month-end and audit experience. Personality is key, you must be driven, a strong relationship builder, and not be afraid to challenge senior stakeholders. You must be willing to assume responsibility and take charge in what is a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
