SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEN provision within the Brent borough. This role involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, supporting students with special educational needs across the spectrum. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience working with secondary or 6th form/college-aged students and are committed to enhancing educational experiences for all students. To start as soon as possible.
Day-to-day of the role: - Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers and other educational staff to facilitate inclusive education.
- Monitor and support the progress of students, adapting approaches as needed to suit individual needs.
- Facilitate social and academic integration, helping students to build confidence and independence.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and any issues that arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Must hold Maths and English GCSEs.
- Proven experience working with secondary or 6th form/college-aged students.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
