Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Location: Old Street, City of London

Hybrid: 3 days a week in the office

Our client is seeking a diligent, forward-thinking Management Accountant to become a key member of their dynamic Finance team. This crucial position requires delivering regular management accounts, performing insightful analyses, enhancing process efficiencies, and exerting solid control over all balance sheet aspects. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an inventive, team-oriented context where your specialised knowledge will be instrumental in directing financial decisions and establishing operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and distribute monthly management accounts, incorporating journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytical commentary on Profit & Loss and overhead expenditures.

* Champion improvements and automation within the management accounting process to escalate efficiency.

* Supervise and validate the US payroll process every two weeks, ensuring regulatory compliance and on-time completion.

* Support the Accounts Payable department by verifying precise accrual of costs at month-end.

* Provide crucial support during annual audits, including balance sheet scrutiny and historical evaluations.

* Contribute to Group reporting obligations along with handling additional ad hoc activities as required.

Key Skills/Experience:

* Experience as a management accountant, managing full-set/end to end accounts.

* Proficient in Excel (mandatory).

* Familiarity with NetSuite (mandatory)

* Committed to continuous improvement and a keen eye for enhancing processes.

* Superior communication skills with the confidence to interact with stakeholders at all stages.

* Strong numeracy capabilities and an ability to effectively analyse complex financial data.

* Proven track record in generating Management Accounts.

* Familiarity with external audit processes and stipulations.

* Prior experience in the retail industry will be advantageous.
