About the Role

Level: Level 4

Department: Finance

Location: Southampton or London

Contract: 6 month fixed term contract

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of financial management information and analysis for external reporting. They prepare the annual three-year business plan and other forecasts, providing regular monthly reports to the Quilter Board and Executive.

This six-month fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity to support the FP&A team through the year-end results announcement and planning cycle. You'll work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including the CFO, Investor Relations, and the Affluent and High Net Worth finance teams. Reporting directly to the Group Head of FP&A, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, making a real impact on our strategic planning and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Planning

  • Help with the preparation of the Group Business Plan, highlighting key trends and significant risks and supporting the drafting of the Group Board papers.
  • Aid the preparation of top-down reforecasting activity.
  • Explore opportunities to streamline the processes and systems involved in the preparation of the Group Plan.
Internal reporting
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Information, sales reporting and Quarterly Business Performance Review packs for the Group's Board and Executive Committee.
  • Provide relevant commentary and analysis for inclusion in the reporting packs and supporting ad hoc analysis as required.
External reporting
  • Support the preparation of the Group's Quarterly trading updates, Interim and Year End announcements, including the Supplementary Information disclosures relating to net flows, assets under management and administration (AuMA") and other related performance data.
  • Preparing and researching answers to questions from external parties including market analysts, the Group's statutory auditors and credit rating agencies.
Additional requirements
  • Undertaking and assisting with ad hoc project work and deliverables, including market analysis and peer group comparisons.
  • Close collaboration with the Business Unit finance teams, Capital, Tax, Strategy, Investor Relations and Financial Accounting, Group Expenses & Finance Change teams.
  • Preparation of Group financial information, as required, to senior management to enable them to appropriately manage the business.
