About the Duty and Assessments Team:
The Duty and Assessments Team is the first point of contact for children and families in need of support or protection. As a Senior Social Worker, you will:
Lead on urgent and complex assessments, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Respond to referrals, identifying risks and needs, and making informed decisions.
Provide expert advice and support to junior team members, promoting best practices.
Collaborate with families, professionals, and agencies to safeguard children and create actionable plans.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation and local policies.
What You Bring:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Social Worker.
Current registration with Social Care England.
Extensive knowledge of assessment frameworks, safeguarding procedures, and child protection legislation.
Excellent decision-making, leadership, and communication skills.
