You’ve recently qualified as an Accountant, or are getting close to it, but you don’t want your career to plateau after all the effort you’ve put in to qualifying.
You aspire to progress to Finance Manager or Financial Controller in a few years and want to ensure you’re gaining the necessary experience you’ll need to close the gap in the meantime.
The variety, autonomy and visibility you might desire is more often be found in smaller firms, but you also want the international exposure, investment in technology and managerial experience that is more commonly found in larger employers.

We’re exclusively coordinating the search for an Accountant opportunity, within the London finance team of a $bn turnover US law firm, which can offer you the best of both worlds.
Working directly with the London Finance Manager you’ll predominately focus on Financial Accounting, including preparation of annual financial statements for UK and European LLP’s, Partner tax returns and assisting with audit processes. You’ll have plenty of variety in your work and exposure to senior leadership across global finance and with Partners.
You’ll also gain the benefits of being part of a high performance global professional services firm who invest in technology and innovation. You’ll have access to ongoing L&D opportunities and have increased scope to support international offices as your role progresses over time.
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in London, 2 remote
Location: City of London
Guide Salary: £50-60k + bonus
Ideas are welcome here. The London Finance Manager is eager to identify someone who shares a passion for leveraging technology and exploring new ways to innovate. You don’t need to be a tech expert, but an inquisitive mind will serve you well.
You’ll also have line management responsibility for a Finance Assistant.
Please note, prior experience within a law firm or other professional services/time billing environment will be highly desirable and you’ll have either recently qualified as an accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or be at finalist level and intending to qualify within the next year.
