We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed French and Spanish Teacher to join our team in Bacup! This is your chance to inspire KS3 and KS4 students as they develop their French language skills. The role offers a competitive salary, based on your qualifications, experience, and teaching expertise.

In this role, you will be delivering engaging and effective lessons to the students, helping them develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French and Spanish. The role requires you to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, tailor lessons to meet diverse needs, and track student progress through assessments and feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal Attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
