Halcyon Care Northwest is excited to announce our partnership with a new children's home service! If you are passionate about positively impacting the lives of children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and complex needs, we want to hear from you. Our Partner is opening a state-of-the-art children's home that includes three purpose-built bungalows, and we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Trainee Registered Manager (TRM) to join our team.

As a crucial part of our new service that is currently awaiting OFSTED registration, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. Reporting to a Registered Manager, you will oversee the care of young individuals in our 2-1 staffed bungalows, providing them with the highest standards of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations and safeguarding policies.
  • Support the Registered Manager in developing and implementing care plans tailored to the wide-ranging needs of our residents.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Step up to take responsibility in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • Participate in training and development programs aimed at preparing you for your future role as Registered Manager.
  • Engage with families and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for our children.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within children’s services or adult learning disabilities is desirable.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (or working towards).
  • Experience of working with OFSTED regulations and knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion and commitment to supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to various situations.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive training and career development opportunities.
  • A supportive and family-oriented work environment with a focus on staff well-being.
  • 33 days of annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus bank holidays.
  • Paid travel time or time off in lieu for on-call duties.
  • Additional benefits and bonuses to reflect our commitment to our employees.

This is a fantastic chance for those looking to step up from a Deputy Manager role or transition from adult services into children's services. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you!

Join us in creating a nurturing and empowering environment for children with learning disabilities and complex needs. Be part of something special!

Halcyon Care Northwest is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
