Engineering Manager Contract

My client is a well-established tech firm specializing in delivering high-quality, high-performance software solutions to a range of blue-chip commercial clients around the globe.

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager on a 12-month rolling contract to lead the development of a series of data-focused, high-impact projects. As an Engineering Manager, you will be expected to have a strong hands-on engineering background (Python or similar technologies) and substantial experience in managing data-intensive projects. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers and ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of engineers, guiding the technical delivery of data-focused projects
Provide hands-on technical leadership, utilizing Python or similar technologies
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable, data-driven applications
Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions
Shape the technical vision and ensure adherence to best practices for performance, scalability, and security
Mentor engineers and support their professional growth
Act as a key point of contact for technical issues, driving high-quality and impactful solutions
Work closely with senior stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals

Requirements:

Proven experience in a hands-on engineering role (Python or similar tech stack)
Strong track record in managing and leading engineering teams
Extensive experience in data-focused projects, with a focus on high-performance, scalable solutions
Previous experience delivering SaaS applications is highly desirable
Experience in managing remote teams or collaborating globally
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
