Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role provides you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location will be one of our main offices, and providing you can get to the office 1-2 days a week, you could be based anywhere within the Anglian Water region, depending on your locations.

We have offices in Peterborough, Huntingdon, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Lincoln, Norwich, Colchester. There will be regular meetings in our Peterborough office.

We are seeking passionate and talented individuals to join our Asset Delivery Modelling Team as part of the Modelling Centre of Excellence. Whether you're a recent graduate eager to start your career in wastewater modelling, or an experienced principal modeller looking for your next challenge, we have an opportunity to suit any level of experience.

Your Role:

As a Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller, you'll play a critical role in designing new assets and enhancing the performance of existing ones. Your work will include:

  • Developing innovative solutions and testing scenarios to inform asset design.

  • Diagnosing and resolving performance issues in existing systems.

  • Collaborating to improve standards, specifications, and processes across the team.

  • Sharing knowledge and mentoring others to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Your contributions will help us deliver first-class modelling solutions while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

What We're Looking For:

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds, including those with no prior modelling experience but a willingness to learn, as well as experienced professionals ready to lead. Key attributes include:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or demonstrable experience in wastewater modelling. Chartered status or working towards accreditation with a professional body is an advantage.

  • Experience or a desire to develop skills in tools such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoAsset, InfoDrainage, MapInfo, or ArcGIS, and a solid understanding of hydraulic principles.

  • Strong communication and reporting skills to bring complex technical information to life for non-technical audiences.

  • A keen interest in collaboration, innovation, and driving industry-leading approaches to network modelling.
