Behaviour Mentor - Waltham Forest

Position Details:
- Role: Behaviour Mentor
- Location: Waltham Forest
- Start Date: January 6th
- Duration: Until the end of the academic year (July)
- Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-to-one and group support for children with SEND, including those with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
- Assist in developing and implementing behaviour management strategies to help students engage positively with their learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to create and maintain a supportive learning environment.
- Support students' emotional well-being, fostering resilience and confidence in their abilities.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed to meet individual needs.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere for all pupils.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND or in a similar behaviour mentor role.
- A strong understanding of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
