The Red Penguin Group provides IT Services with their distinctive Customer Service levels to businesses across Nottingham and the surrounding counties. They are looking to expand their growing team by bringing in an IT Support Apprentice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First response on the Helpdesk solving technical queries over the phone and via our ticketing system using a variety of automation and remote management tools.
  • Swiftly Identify issues and fix supported systems and escalate any challenges that cannot be resolved by 1st Line.
  • Contribute to projects and attend client sites as required.
  • Follow our SOPs and assist in the ongoing documentation of our business processes and procedures.
  • Support the Lead Engineer for assigned clients.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Good listening and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A keen interest in IT
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Office 365
  • Strong organisational skills

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
