Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are working with a primary school in Thamesmead, Greenwich, that is establishing a specialist hub dedicated to children with SEN. The school is seeking dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis and make a real difference in the lives of these children.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant in the school’s new specialist hub, you will:
• Support children who require time out from the classroom due to their additional needs.
• Work with pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and fellow Learning Support Assistants to plan and deliver engaging learning and development activities.
• Provide support to pupils across a variety of classes, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
The school is looking for individuals who:
• Have prior experience supporting children or adults with SEN.
• Possess a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
• Are patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Are enthusiastic about contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
