Management Accountant

Equifind are excited to have teamed up with a growing London fintech, who are looking for a management accountant to join the business, for the next 4-6 months.

We’re looking for a hands-on management accountant, who is happy to manage the daily AP and AR functions, in addition to supporting the rest of the finance team with monthly reporting and the upcoming audit season.

You must be confident, forward thinking and happy to get stuck in. There will be projects that you can get involved with, too. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking for a varied role in a highly dynamic business.

Key duties and responsibilities for this management accountant role include:

• Assist with the monthly management account preparation
• Take ownership of the accounts payable and receivables daily duties
• Posting of journals for month end procedures; including accruals, prepayments, deferred income, interest recognition
• Assistance with the year end audit of multiple entities
• Regular reconciliation of intercompany balances
• Maintenance and monitoring of staff expenses system
• Bank reconciliations and cash posting
• Support with the production of VAT statements and the reconciliations
• Help improve the financial framework for the business, developing internal controls and policies for the future
• Get involved with other various projects and ad hoc work requested by senior management to assist the wider business

Experience & Qualifications

• A finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• A background in fintech or financial services would be advantageous
• Experience of Xero or Netsuite would be beneficial
• History of being involved in audits
• Experience of monthly reporting
• A proactive approach and ability to work autonomously
• Be a self-starter with a diligent mind

The business is a market leader in the fintech sector, and they offer financing solutions to a wide range of customers.

The business has been going for over 10 years now and has no plans to slow down. It has grown substantially over the past few years and as a result has opened numerous offices internationally and is performing impressively.

You will be involved in a very dynamic team and business, where you will be expected to jump in at the deep end, from the off.

For this role, you will work closely with the financial controller on a daily basis, assisting them with the general financial reporting duties and running of the transactional duties.

This is a proper hands-on role and you’ll be required to get into the detail and roll up your sleeves.

The business operates on a hybrid working pattern and requires that you are in the London office three times per week. It really is a great organisation to join.

Daily Rate/Salary

This exciting opportunity for a management accountant will pay between £250-£350 per day, depending on your qualifications and industry experience.

We are open to looking at candidates on no more than one week’s notice.

We can start this side of Christmas if all works well.
