Java/Kotlin Developer - sought by large investment bank based in London - Contract - Hybrid

*inside iR35 - umbrella*

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and implement a scalable trading application to replace the legacy system.
* Collaborate with team members to architect and deliver high-performance backend solutions using Java/Kotlin.
* Build, deploy, and manage containerised applications within a Kubernetes/Docker environment.
* Utilize MongoDB and Databricks for data processing, storage, and analytics.
* Integrate the application with relational databases and ensure smooth data migrations from the legacy system.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Programming: Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development with Java and/or Kotlin in a financial environment.
* Containerisation & Orchestration: Solid experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
* Proficient in working with MongoDB.
* Hands-on experience with Databricks for big data solutions.
