• Annual Salary: £20,441 - £22,129 (pro-rata)

• Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant educational setting in Southampton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting teaching and learning, and who thrives in a dynamic school environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared educational activities are delivered.
• Maintain the continuity of learning for students and manage classroom behaviour as necessary.
• Interact with students, responding to their educational and pastoral needs.
• Ensure the resources required for the lesson are available and that the classroom is well-organised.
• Collect completed work after the lesson and pass it to the appropriate teacher.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote focus and discipline.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students.
• A commitment to supporting students in their educational journey.
• Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
