They are now looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their accounts team on a part time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's experienced in accounts, enjoys a range of tasks across the function and is driven to grow their knowledge. This position comes with an annual salary of up to £28,000 pro rata.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all records are up to date and accurate.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
  • Take charge of credit control, working proactively to resolve any payment issues.
  • Manage purchasing and ensure accurate invoicing, with approvals from the Finance Manager.
  • Liaise with subcontractors on an ad-hoc basis to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Process company expenses and credit cards.
  • Support with process improvement and reviews.

Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar position.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential and familiarity with the Xero accounting system is desirable.
  • A can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments, ensuring the smooth running of the finance team.
