We are partnered with an early stage Software Development start-up in the Blockchain space as they look to bring on board a Senior Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the financial health of the organisation, driving growth strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position is ideal for a proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for technology and innovation.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to support decision-making

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop and oversee annual budgets in collaboration with department heads
  • Prepare financial forecasts and variance analyses to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements

Strategic Planning

  • Support the leadership team with financial analysis for strategic decision-making
  • Drive the financial aspects of scaling operations, including market expansion and resource allocation

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting standards
  • Oversee internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets
  • Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies as required

Cash Flow & Asset Management

  • Monitor and manage company cash flow to maintain liquidity and operational efficiency
  • Oversee financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Implement and manage software tools for streamlined financial processes

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of professional development and collaboration
  • Build strong relationships with other departments to align financial strategies with company objectives

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or simialr) Qualification
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the UK.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the technology, software development industry or early stage start-up
