About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a 2-week temporary assignment with a leading retail business in London. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in accounts payable, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities: - Process high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare payment runs and ensure timely processing of payments.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure the accounts payable ledger is up to date.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
- Respond to supplier inquiries and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues.
Requirements: - Proven experience in an accounts payable role, preferably within a retail or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a high workload efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software.
- Immediate availability is essential for this role.
