Requirements

  • QTS/QTLS/PGCE is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • A proven track record of recent and successful class teaching in an 11-16 school
  • Use strategies and resources that allow all students to learn efficiently and gain new skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Organise tasks to address the learning needs of assigned students in a consistent and efficient manner.
  • Support the Head of Department in ensuring the curriculum area offers diverse teaching approaches that align with the Academy's strategic goals.
  • Continuously update and enhance knowledge and understanding of the teaching and student support areas under the post-holder's responsibility.
  • To maintain required level of CPD
  • Maintain appropriate records to demonstrate progress made by students
