Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday

Overtime on a Saturday

Duties

• Perform picking and packing of products for orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Operate warehouse management systems, including AS400, to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage.
• Conduct materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment.
• Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery.
• Utilise forklifts safely to move large items around the warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices within the workplace.
