We are partnering with a leading London based Charity to recruit a Finance Business Partner with experience in allocating budgets and liaising with stakeholders, particularly across clinical and financial services.
This position is initially offered on a six-month temporary basis and then goes permanent. The rate is negotiable dependent on experience and our client is looking to interview soon.
The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant, or qualified by experience, with a background in non-profits.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Business partnering with the clinical services directorate, supporting managers in the formulation of their business and financial plans and allocating budgets accordingly
- Both conducting and presenting variance analysis to 10/12 budget holders
- Forecasting of clinical and financial services budgets, presenting and explaining to budget holders
- Liaising regularly with the Head of Financial Services budgets, presenting and explaining to budget holders
- Handling budget production and costing as well as supporting schedules to maintain a good audit standard, and the production of quality and timely management information
- Meeting with budget holders once a month and reporting on trends while managing the overall service budget of up to £15million
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts for various projects and departments
- Proven ability to analyse financial data, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights
- Skilled in allocating costs and managing expenses, especially in a non-profit environment with restricted and unrestricted funds
- Expertise in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles, including fund management and regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics) and intermediate/ advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail in financial data and reporting
Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Working from home two days a week
