We are seeking a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a vibrant secondary school on the Wirral. About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Ensure that students remain on task with the pre-set work.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
- Provide support to students where necessary to facilitate learning.
- Report back to the appropriate teacher on student progress.
- Assist with other duties around the school, including exam invigilation and supporting staff as required.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Is confident, adaptable, and able to work independently.
- Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Has experience working with young people (previous experience as a teaching assistant, sports coach, or in another educational setting is advantageous but not essential).
- Is enthusiastic about supporting student development and willing to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required (we can assist with this process).
