Locality Social Worker - Children's Services

Location: Buckinghamshire (County Wide)
Salary: £44,752 (Grade 6) + £2,750 Market Supplement

About the Role:
As a Locality Social Worker in Children's Services, you'll deliver targeted and specialist support to children, young people, and their families. This includes statutory social work, assessments, planning, interventions, and reviews, ensuring every child's voice is heard and their unique needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide statutory social work services for children and young people in need of support, protection, and care.
  • Undertake assessments to identify needs, risks, and circumstances.
  • Promote the safety, wellbeing, and rights of children, improving their outcomes.
  • Build relationships with children and families, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Liaise with Legal Services and represent the authority in court.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of care plans, maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in supervision and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised social work qualification and active HCPC registration.

  • Strong communication and workload management skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Access to a vehicle for countywide travel.
  • Politically restricted post under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
