A high-growth, global construction and engineering business based in the heart of London is currently seeking their next hire to expand the finance team. This is a newly created Financial Analyst position due to growth and will report directly to the Finance Director. Responsibilities include:

  • Business partnering with brand and regional Finance Directors, preparing analysis and providing commentary and insights.
  • Reporting and analysis of ongoing projects including costs, WIP and overhead analysis.
  • Prepare reports to analyse project and trade reviews.
  • Management of budget and forecasting processes and business partnering with heads of across various departments including commercial, IT, HR and more.
  • Partner with accounting shared service centre colleagues to ensure accuracy of data are reporting.
  • Cash flow management and forecasting on ongoing projects and partnering with the commercial team.
  • Preparing variance analysis and monthly submissions including analysis on WIP, retentions, and cashflows.
  • Production of month end dashboards for cost centre analysis.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting around cost saving initiatives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve processes.
  • Business partnering to derive accurate analysis, planning and modelling.
  • Support Group where required and contribute to local improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role (preferably within a construction, engineering or real estate). Candidates must have sound knowledge of project accounting and WIP and multi-currency experience would also be beneficial. Ideally you will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate well with stakeholders at all levels and within different divisions. Candidates must show a willingness to learn, use initiative and work efficiently with the ability to prioritise tasks and work well to deadlines.
