Job Description:

Hays Education is seeking dedicated and qualified SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team and work in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) schools across Nottinghamshire. This role involves supporting children from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in SEND settings.
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
