An entry level proactive and analytical Financial Controller for a high-growth, PE-backed group. This role is ideal for an ambitious early-career financial controller with 4-5 years of post-qualified experience. Joining a high-performing finance team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal and hands on role in establishing best practices, supporting growth initiatives, and enhancing financial reporting processes.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in a fast-paced environment, such as a consumer brand or similar high-growth sector, combined with strong technical accounting skills and a passion for process improvement in a scaling business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead and manage day-to-day financial operations, including monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Develop robust financial processes to support accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance, especially in a private equity-backed environment.
  • Work closely with senior management to support strategic planning, financial analysis, and growth initiatives.
  • Provide insights into financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and driving profitability.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Act as a trusted business partner across departments, ensuring alignment on financial strategy and goals.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally from an audit background, with qualification around 2019 or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in a large fast-paced, high-growth, or consumer brand environment is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial controls, financial planning, and cash management in a growing company.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a lean, dynamic environment, with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
