We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join our dedicated team at London Borough of Bexley. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of vulnerable adults, identifying their needs and risks.
• Develop and implement effective care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults at risk.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including health, police, and other social services, to ensure coordinated support.
• Undertake complex casework, including child protection inquiries and safeguarding investigations.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and external agencies.
• Represent the local authority in court proceedings, as required.
• Promote a person-centered approach, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
• Registration with Social Work England
• Significant experience in adult safeguarding
• Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage complex caseloads
• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults
