A leading accountancy firm is currently seeking a talented and motivated Accounts & Audit Senior to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key part in enhancing their presence in Birmingham and nationwide, supporting clients across sectors such as Agriculture, Not-for-Profit, Education, and Services.
Key Responsibilites include:
Support partners/managers in quality client service for compliance and planning.
Manage ad hoc projects and assignments.
Review and prepare accounts, tax, and VAT work.
Conduct remuneration planning and supervise audits.
Assist with advanced audit, accounts, and tax compliance.
Identify client discussion points and added service opportunities.
Finalise client and HMRC paperwork, meeting deadlines.
Liaise with clients for accurate, detailed information.
Track job quality/productivity to meet targets.
Record chargeable time for maximum recovery.
Coach and review trainee assignments.
Requirements:
Professional qualification - (ACCA, ACA,) or nearing completion.
At least 2 years of experience in an accountancy firm.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Outstanding analytical and problem solving abilities.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
